FAQ

BLOODKEG - A metal or wooden keg overfilled with blood.

On some days you may see a mass of people surrounding these kegs beating each other with sticks, whipping with chains, flogging, or poking with sporks. The bloodkeg is not only a ballast of pain but also a symbol of suffering in the world. Though the bloodkeg has lingered for many years it did not have a name. The pain, suffering, music, and the writing was always there, then one day I had a dream, then a radio show (the bloodkeg on WVTC) and the bloodkeg grew larger.

The BloodKeg is very simply a group of people who all have interests in making music, movies, or writing songs.

SOFTWARE:

Here are some open-source software we use at the bloodkeg. All of these programs are FREE to download and use.

- Audacity is a multitrack audio editing/recording program. We've used it for editing and recording songs. There are versions of it for windows, Linux, and Mac.

- Scribus is an open-source program that brings page layout to Linux/Unix, MacOS X, OS/2 and Windows desktops with a combination of "press-ready" output and new approaches to page layout.

- Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, or Xara X. It imports formats such as JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and others and exports PNG as well as multiple vector- based formats. There are version of it for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

We would like to thank all the programmers and others that have contributed such as the people on the users mailing lists of these programs.
